NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR REDEEM ASP REWARDS POINTS.

As an Aussie Specialist, you will be eligible to participate in the Aussie Specialist Program Rewards (ASP Rewards).  The ASP Rewards shall be governed by these ASP Rewards terms and conditions.  By participating in the ASP Rewards, you agree to these ASP Rewards terms and conditions and the Aussie Specialist Program Terms and Conditions.

1. Definitions and Interpretation

'Aussie Specialist': A Nominated Person who has successfully completed the Principal's training course and been accredited with such status.

'Principal': Tourism Australia (ABN 99 657 548 712), an Australian government statutory authority, whose principal place of business is located at Level 28, 180 George Street, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

'You' / ‘Your’: The Agent and the Aussie Specialist jointly and severally.

The headings in this Agreement are for convenience only and shall not affect its interpretation. The Principal reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any point in time.

2. Aussie Specialist Program

The Aussie Specialist Program (ASP) is the Principal’s global training program, run in conjunction with Australia’s State and Territory Tourism Organisations (STOs).

The ASP is designed to provide domestic and international travel sellers with the knowledge and skills to promote and sell Australia as a destination. It offers agents an online platform and training resources to learn about Australia, helping them to promote and sell the destination more effectively.

ASP is open to domestic travel agents (i.e. travel agents based in Australia) and international travel agents (i.e. travel agents based outside of Australia), who sell a certain level of travel to Australia. There are minimum standards and a series of registration steps to be met before being able to be a specialist. The Principal reserves the right to refuse registration into the program at any stage.

ASP is also open to Australian based Inbound Tourism Operators (ITOs) subject to meeting certain standards and registration steps at the Principal’s absolute sole discretion.. Australian based ITOs experience a restricted list of benefits, this includes but is not limited to not being entitled to familiarisation trips.

3. Eligibility

This ASP Rewards is offered and open only to qualified Aussie Specialists.

4.  ASP Rewards Points

When Aussie Specialists complete ASP global training activities, including but not limited to, modules, webinars, face to face training, surveys, quizzes, they will have an opportunity to earn ASP Rewards points.  Each activity will be allocated a certain number of points.  Upon completion of the activity, the Aussie Specialist will be able to collect the designated points.  The earned and collected ASP Rewards points will be stored in the Aussie Specialist’s ASP Rewards account. 

ASP Rewards points will expire on 31 December of each year regardless of whether the Aussie Specialist earned and collected those points at the start of the subject year in January or the day before the points are due to expire – i.e. 30 December.  For the avoidance of doubt, ASP Rewards points accrued between 1 January and 31 December of each year will not roll-over to the following year.  The ASP Rewards points balance of each Aussie Specialist will reset to nil at 12:00 a.m. on 1 January of each year.

ASP Rewards points are non-transferrable, cannot be en-cashed nor be redeemed in any other format.

5.  ASP Rewards Store

Qualified Aussie Specialists will be able to redeem their earned AS Rewards points in the ASP Rewards Store. The ASP Rewards Store may contain items such as:

• Tourism Australia / Aussie Specialist Program-branded apparel (e.g. hats, sunglasses, socks, tote bags);
• Unique Australia-made items; and
• Gift vouchers.

The ASP Rewards Store may also contain the following complimentary items which can be redeemed by Aussie Specialists without the use of ASP Rewards points:

• Marketing collateral, i.e. printed Australia maps, brochures);
• industry rates (i.e. reduced rates from AU tourism product for when Aussie Specialists would like to experience product firsthand); and
• other items at the Principal’s discretion.

All Aussie Specialists are solely responsible for any applicable federal, state, provincial and local taxes in connection with deeming items from the ASP Rewards Store. Aussie Specialists may also be required to sign and return certain tax documentation as required by the Principal.

ASP Rewards Store items substitutions are not allowed, and ASP Rewards Store items are not transferable. Only the Principal may elect, at its discretion, to substitute an ASP Rewards Store item of equal value due to lack of availability for any given reason. ASP Rewards Store items are awarded "as is" with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied by the Principal, including but not limited to, the quality, merchantability, habitability, or fitness of the ASP Rewards Store items.

6. Internet/Fraud/Tampering

If for any reason the ASP Rewards is not capable of running as planned, or if the ASP website or any website associated therewith (or any portion thereof) becomes corrupted, or if infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, actions by entrants, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes, in the Principal's sole opinion, corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the ASP Rewards, the Principal reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual implicated in such action and/or to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the ASP Rewards, their participation is the Aussie Specialist Program, or any portion thereof. If such cancellation, termination, modification, or suspension occurs, notification will be posted at the ASP website. ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE (INCLUDING THE ASP WEBSITE) OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE ASP REWARDS WILL LEAD TO DISQUALIFICATION AS AN AUSSIE SPECIALIST. The Principal assumes no liability for (a) any incorrect or inaccurate entry information, or for any faulty, failed, garbled or jumbled electronic data transmissions; (b) any unauthorized access to, or theft, destruction or alteration of entries at any point in the operation of the ASP Rewards; (c) any technical malfunction, failure, error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or communications line failure, regardless of cause, with regard to any equipment, systems, networks, lines, satellites, servers, computers or providers utilized in any aspect of the operation of the ASP Rewards; or (d) inaccessibility or unavailability of the ASP Rewards or the ASP website or any combination thereof.

7.  Disqualification

If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Principal may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude the Aussie Specialist from participating in the ASP Rewards, or the Aussie Specialist Program in its entirety.

8. Data Protection

The Principal will only process your personal information as set out in its Privacy Policy.

9. General

By entering the ASP Rewards, each entrant agrees to release, waive and hold harmless the Principal and their affiliates, subsidiaries, parent corporations, and advertising and promotional agencies, and all of their officers, directors, shareholders, employees and agents from any and all injuries, claims, damages, losses, costs, or expenses of any kind (including without limitation attorney's fees) resulting from accessing the ASP website; submitting an entry or otherwise participating in any aspect of the ASP Rewards; the receipt, ownership or use of any ASP Rewards Store items; preparing for, participating in or traveling to and/or from any prize-related activity, or; any printing, typographical or other error in these terms and conditions.

By accepting these terms and conditions the Aussie Specialist  agrees, where legal, to allow Principal and their agents and licensees to use their names, voices, videos, photographs, likenesses and any information provided on the ASP registration form, in any medium of communication, including advertising, promotional or other purposes, without additional compensation.

10. Governing Law

The Principal reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the ASP Rewards where it becomes necessary to do so.

These terms and conditions shall be governed by laws of the State of New South Wales, Australia. You agree to submit any dispute arising under or concerning this Agreement to the courts of New South Wales, Australia.
