Mercure Kangaroo Island Lodge, South Australia
Arrive in Australia’s boutique city Adelaide. Adelaide is a friendly, contemporary and vibrant city surrounded by rolling hills, beautiful beaches with crystal-clear water and world-renowned wine regions. From here you will then get onboard a flight to Kingscote to the beautiful Kangaroo island. You will be staying at the Mercure Kangaroo Island Lodge. This evening you will be taken on a nocturnal tour of Kangaroo island with Kangaroo Island Ocean Safari/Wildlife Safari. Witness dolphins, seals, birdlife, eagles, whales and magnificent coastline as well as being provided with informative local history, wildlife facts and geological information.
Adelaide – Port
In picturesque Adelaide, vibrant meets laid back. Passengers can explore beautiful botanic gardens, meet the locals and try fresh produce and local cuisine at the Central Market. Excursions visit the Aboriginal Cultures Gallery and the famous Don Bradman Collection at Adelaide Oval. Overnighters can explore the boutiques and arcades of Rundle Mall, followed by a coffee or gelato on Rundle Street and a tram ride to Glenelg.
Barossa – Shore Excursion
An hour from Adelaide, the Barossa is the wine capital of Australia, and one of the world’s greatest wine regions. Home of more than 80 cellar doors and labels large and small (including Penfolds, Jacob’s Creek, Henschke and Wolf Blass), the region offers galleries, local produce, historical Germanic villages and markets to explore on tailored excursions.
Kangaroo Island – Port
On Kangaroo Island, guests may spot native wildlife including sea lions, dolphins and seals. The island offers unique cheeses, honeys and wines plus geological attractions like Remarkable Rocks* and Admirals Arch*. Adventurers can try quad biking or sand board the dunes of Little Sahara.
Fleurieu Peninsula – Shore Excursion
Only a 45-minute drive from Adelaide is the Fleurieu Peninsula and its rolling hills and vineyards, bounded by picturesque beaches and rugged coastlines. Visitors can taste fine wines in McLaren Vale and practise varietal blending in the Stables Wine Immersion Centre at d’Arenberg Winery.
Port Lincoln & Eyre Peninsula
Australia’s seafood capital and home to the best tuna, kingfish, abalone and oysters, Port Lincoln is a haven for adventure-seekers with excursions like shark cage diving and swimming with friendly sea lions. Cruise guests can also enjoy stunning coastal panoramas on a stroll of Coffin Bay.
Murray River
For those who decide to stay awhile, a great way to discover South Australia is to cruise Australia’s greatest waterway aboard a paddlewheeler like the PS Murray Princess, on a cruise of up to seven nights; or aboard the ‘Proud Mary’ on a five day Wildlife Expedition exploring the river’s secluded lagoons and inlets. Both cruises depart a 1.5 hour drive from Adelaide.
Seal Bay Conservation Park, Kangaroo Island, South Australia
This morning you will begin your tour of Kangaroo Island. SeaLink ferries will bring you on a tour through some of the beautiful natural surroundings of the island. Flinders Chase National Park* - At 74,000 hectares, it is one of Australia’s largest parks. The park is home to a feast of fauna including kangaroos, koalas, echidnas, platypus, tammar wallabies and the endangered Cape Barren geese. On the coast around Cape du Couedic* live 6000 New Zealand fur seals. Flinders Chase National Park* is home to the impressive Admirals Arch* and Remarkable Rocks*. Enjoy the amazing Birds of Prey Display in Raptor Domain an educational and entertaining free-flight demonstration experience. There will also be a chance to visit Seal Bay Conservation Park which is home to about 1,000 Australia sea lions, or five per cent of the world total.

Fleurieu Peninsula, South Australia
Travel to Cape Jervis to discover the Fleurieu Peninsula. Cycle along the coast or stop by the wineries and find that special drop. Afterwards arrive in the Softfoot Alpacas for a unique 1-hour tour to meet the friendly alpacas on the picturesque Softfoot farm. Mid morning The Big Duck Tour will take you on board your Southern Ocean Adventure. This breathtaking 90-minute tour departs from the Granite Island Causeway and cruises between the mainland and the northern side of Granite Island. In the afternoon Oceanic Visitor have a unique marine experience as you get the chance to get on board a motorised catamaran to the in-sea aquarium, where you will take a dip into the water to swim with the fish.
