Tourism Australia ('TA') collects personal information about individuals for a range of purposes to enable it to carry out its functions. Tourism Australia’s privacy policy can be viewed here. Who is collecting your personal information?	Your personal information is being collected by Tourism Australia (ABN: 996 575 487 12) (TA).
Collection of your personal information	Your personal information was provided by you as part of the Aussie Specialist registration form you completed.
Is collection required or authorised by law?	N/A
Why does TA collect your personal information?	TA collects your: Personal information to create a profile and register you as an Aussie Specialist, part of TA’s Aussie Specialist Program (ASP); and Email address for secure delivery of ASP communications. If you have opted in to receive news, updates and offers, your email address is also used to send this type of communication.
What would happen if TA did not collect your personal information?	If TA did not collect your personal information, TA will not be able to process your application to join the ASP, create your profile or send you the additional information and material you need to maintain your status as an Aussie Specialist.
Who will TA disclose your personal information to?	Tourism Australia may disclose your personal information to: business partners with whom Tourism Australia has a formal contractual relationship; state and territory tourism authorities in the course of conducting trade events; external service providers such as IT consultants; professional advisers; publishing houses and marketing/advertising agencies; and Commonwealth ministers and government departments.
Access to and correction of your personal information	TA’s privacy policy contains information about how you may access and seek correction of personal information about you that is held by TA.
Privacy complaint	TA’s privacy policy contains information about how you may complain about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles and how TA will deal with complaints.
Overseas disclosure of your personal information	Your personal information may be disclosed to overseas recipients in accordance with item D. of TA’s privacy policy.
